Joe-Wise discredits Minority’s claim of rejecting three nominees

Mr Joseph Osei-Owusu, Chairman of Parliament’s Appointment Committee has discredited cases by Minority individuals from the Committee that three candidates of the President for clerical jobs have been dismissed by the board.

As per him, the Appointment Committee has no ability to dismiss anyone, saying theirs is to make proposal to the House to either acknowledge or dismiss the endorsement.

Mr Osei-Owusu disproved the charges before the Appointment Committee’s hearing on some Regional Ministers Designate, at the Parliament House, in Accra.

The meeting was for verifying candidates of President Akufo-Addo as Ministers of some political regulatory locales.

In addition, there were claims in the media that 13 individuals from the Minority on Parliament’s Appointment Committee had casted a ballot against the endorsement of three of the President’s clerical candidates.
